Global insurer ACE has made a donation to the Association for Children with Emotional & Learning Problems (ACELP) in Karachi, Pakistan as part of its Community Support Programme.
Employees from ACE insurance in Karachi have been volunteering their time at the ACELP centre since 2007. In support of this, the company’s community support programme has made a donation to the centre.
ACELP is a voluntary welfare organisation of parents, professionals and citizens for the care of children with development delays. One of the main objectives of the association is to establish a centre capable of providing diagnostics, training and teaching facilities to the children and guidance to the parents.
Zehra Naqvi, Chief Executive of ACE Pakistan said: “Giving back to our local community is an important value for ACE employees. I am delighted to be able to support the ACELP centre with this donation and we will continue to be involved in giving our time to help.”
ACELP is managed by professionals qualified and trained in the education of children with special needs. The association have a limited number of staff mainly devoted to the handling of children.
